So you want to work as a full time voice actor?

(cue cheesy song)

We noticed many voice actors don’t follow these simple steps. So we decided to help you, because you know, we’re nice like that. You know superman? We like to think of ourselves as “Super voice women”. Copyright us.

Here we go:

Step 1:

Be easy to find : Have a website and link to it from all your social media accounts.

Step 2

Have demos in every genre you want to work in. If you want to work in video games, have a video game demo. If you want to work in animation, have an animation demo. The list goes on and on, but you get my point. Because when the client asks for a specific demo and you have it, you are now ahead of the game.

Step 4

Make sure your email is easily available : none of that form filling with CAPTCHA. There’s just no time for that.

Step 5

I don’t know if you’ve noticed a shift in the last few months when it comes to authentic casting, but it’s happening. At Voffla, we have always aimed for authentic casting. But now, it’s trendy. So flaunt your ethnicity if you are not Caucasian. Don’t try to hide it. I spend time on google making sure we hire actors who are the right ethnicity if the character is of that ethnicity. Make it easy for us to know you’re perfect for the character we are casting.

Some people give free hugs, we give free advice.

I hope this helps!

See you behind the mic!
